Walmart Adds Premium Alcohol to its Shelves

Although Walmart has historically attracted budget-conscious shoppers, the retailer has seen recent demand for premium alcohol options. To test demand, the retailer brought a barrel of Buffalo Trace bourbon to one of its stores which sold out in just six days. This success confirmed the demand resulting in a full blown upscale shift in adult beverages in Walmart stores. Newly introduced products will include craft beers, hard seltzers, canned wines, as well as wine and spirits from brands like Buffalo Trace, Justin and Veuve Clicquot.
